CANYON, Texas - Head Coach Kimberly Dudley announced on Tuesday that she has received commitments from four outstanding student-athletes Delinda Hill, Chelsi Ruiz, Traci Garrett and Becca Rapstine, to join the West Texas A&M women's cross country team during the upcoming fall.

Hailing from Hereford, Texas, both Hill and Ruiz were intricate parts of Hereford High School cross country program which captured back-to-back Texas Class 4A State Women's Cross Country Championships in 2005 and 2006. Both girls also competed in track and field for the Whitefaces during their prep careers.

Garrett comes to the Lady Buffs after a solid athletic career at Eustace High School where she lettered in cross country, basketball, volleyball and softball as well as track and field. She helped EHS qualify for the state meet on her way to being tabbed both All-District and All-Region in cross country.

Completing the class is another local product, Becca Rapstine from White Deer, Texas. While competing at the Class 1A level, Rapstine was a dominant runner, garnering All-State cross country selections in both 2003 and 2005, while being a three-time regional qualifier in track and field. In addition to her exploits on the track, Rapstine also competed in basketball for the Bucks and is a member of the National Honor Society.
