The West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs Softball program invites you to participate in one of six sessions in their 2008 Fundamental Hitting Camps.  The Lady Buffs' coaching staff looks forward to working with you in an intense schedule of fundamental hitting skill instruction.

Areas of concentration will include - hitting mechanics, drill instruction and short-game fundamentals.

CAMP STAFF

WTAMU head Coach Kevin Blaskowski will serve as the lead instructor for all sessions.  Blaskowski, who is in his 16^th year as a collegiate head softball coach, has led hitting clinics throughout the country.

Assisting Blaskowski will be Lady Buff assistants Sarah Harman and Jackie Poggendorf.  Harman came to WTAMU after working two years at NCAA-I Norfolk State University.  Poggendorf, a two-time conference tournament MVP during her career at Miami (OH), helped lead the Akron Racers to the National Professional Fastpitch championship.  Poggendorf works mainly with the Lady Buffs' short game and base-running instruction.

A number of current Lady Buffs will also be on hand to assist in instruction.

CAMP FORMAT

Each session is limited to 20 participants.  This will ensure individual instruction opportunities for everyone.  Each session will include drill instruction, fundamental skill development and off-season workout plans

Session II :    3:30pm - 6:30pm

Sunday, January 13^th, 2008  (ages 8-13)

Session I :   1:00pm - 4:00pm

Session II :  4:30pm - 7:30pm

Sunday, January 20^th, 2008  (ages 14-18)

Session I :   1:00pm - 4:00pm

Session II :  4:30pm - 7:30pm

CAMP FEE

$ 30.00 per camper.  There will be a $10 fee assessed to any camper who registers after Dec. 1^st.
