Lady Buff Golf Ranked 24th in Golf World/NGCS Division II Coaches' Poll



The Lady Buff golf team won Adams State's Grizzly Invitational/RMAC #3 in October

CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's golf team has earned a No. 24 ranking in the Golf World/NGCS Division II Coaches' Poll for its play during the fall season. This is the highest rank that the Lady Buffs have achieved in school history.

WT has finished no worse than sixth in any of the four tournaments they played in this fall. The Lady Buffs' best finish was at the Grizzly Invitational/RMAC #3 hosted by Adams State in Alamosa, Colo. Sophomore Mollie Peterson and junior Stephanie Boldger finished first and second, respectively, in individual play after a two-hole playoff as the team won the tournament with an overall score of 620 in the two-day event.

Peterson has consistently led the Lady Buffs throughout the fall, averaging a score of 77 per round of golf.

West Texas A&M begins its spring season on Feb. 16-17 with a tournament hosted by Tarleton State at the Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury, Texas.
