General: Harris is a strong runner who brings experience and perseverance to the Buffs.

2007: Harris competed in the NCAA-II South Central Regional meet, hosted by Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 3. He set an all set season best times in the field of 116 runners. Harris finished 90th with a run of 34:43. The West Texas A&M men's cross country team finished 8th in the Lone Star Conference Championships in Commerce on Oct. 20. Harris crossed the line first for the Buffs, finishing the 8k run in 27:41.87 to come in 27th place. Harris competed in the ASU Blue & Gold Classic in San Angelo on Oct. 12. Harris led the Buffs and finished 17th with a run of 29:04. Harris competed in the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 29 in Stillwater, Okla. He finished 83rd with a run of 28:36. Harris competed in the Texas Tech Invitational on Sept. 17 in Lubbock. Harris finished the five mile run in 28:01.80.

High School: Harris attended Caprock High where he ran for coach Quincy Nodine. He ran the 800M, along with the one and two mile relay. He lettered in wrestling four times and led the Longhorn's onto victory, where he recieved fifth in state. Harris was a member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. He was recognized by Who Who's Among American High School Students and graduated in the top ten percent of his class.
