Men's Soccer's Jacob Fynboe Jensen Earns All-District Accolades

CANYON, Texas - Sophomore midfielder Jacob Fynboe Jensen has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team for excelling in the classroom in addition to his success on the soccer field. The Horsens, Denmark, native is a general business major and holds a 3.90 grade point average.

Jensen missed four games towards the beginning of the season with an injury, but has come on strong as of late. He is tied for second on the team in goals (6) and has a team-leading seven assists for 19 points. Most recently, he notched two assists off corner kicks in a 4-0 Buffalo win over St. Mary's, helping WT improve to 15-2 on the season.

Defensively, Jensen has helped the Buffs hold opponents to just 15 goals; only two teams have scored more than one goal against WT this season. He has also helped Buff goalkeeper Shane Taylor record eight shutouts.

WT rounds out its season on Nov. 4 with a Southwest Soccer Conference match-up against No. 7 Midwestern State. MSU is also ranked No. 1 in the Midwest Region while WTAMU is ranked No. 3.
