SILVER CITY N.M. - The West Texas A&M men's golf team completed the Western New Mexico University Cactus Thaw Sunday, placing 10th in the tournament with a combined score of 761 in two and a half rounds of play, 57 strokes behind tournament winner Western New Mexico.

Senior Spud Dillingham turned in the Buffs' best effort shooting a 188 to tie for 27th place. He was followed closely by fellow senior Kent Neal whose 189 score tied him for 32nd place overall and junior Jon Musser who tied for 38th place after shooting a 190.

Among WTAMU's other finishers were freshman Roy Holdeman and sophomore Geoff Phemister, who both shot 201 to tie for 54th place.

The Buffs will play their next tournament at Pottsborough, Texas in an event hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce on March 4.
