CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M senior forward/guard Damien Lolar has been named the Lone Star Conference men's basketball South Division Player of the Week following two impressive performances last week.

Lolar, who was named the LSC Tournament MVP last spring, paced the Buffs with a school record 47 points against Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Holiday Inn/Coca Cola Buffalo Thanksgiving Classic. In addition, Lolar pulled down 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. In two games at the tournament, Lolar averaged 34.5 points per game.

The Buffs will take the court at the First United Bank Centre against Cameron University on Thursday, Nov. 30 and will face the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday, Dec. 2. Both games will be preceded by the women's contest at 6 p.m. and will tip-off at 8 p.m.
