ABILENE, Texas - Senior forward Damien Lolar registered his 10th double-double of the season, contributing 27 points and 13 rebounds as the West Texas A&M men's basketball team remained in a first place tie in the Lone Star Conference South Division race by defeating league rival Abilene Christian, 80-68, on Saturday night at Kimbrell Arena on the campus of McMurry University.

With the victory, its ninth in during its last 10 contests, WTAMU improves its overall record this season to 16-8 and its conference mark to 8-2. ACU, meanwhile, falls to 10-14 and 1-9 in league action.

Lolar connected on eight field goals on the night, four of which came from beyond the three point arc, and sank seven of eight free throw attempts, to finish with a game-high 27 points.

Senior guard Kevin "Chip" Green was again lethal from the floor, converting 5-of-6 field goal attempts, including a 3-of-4 mark from long range to finish with 17 points. Junior forward Chris Hinz also enjoyed a solid shooting night, sinking 5-of-7 field goals attempts to end play with 11 points to go along with seven rebounds.

WTAMU is back on the road next weekend as it travels to Stephenville, Texas, to battle LSC rival Tarleton State in an 8 p.m. match-up.
